Works but may shut down

My computer is in a WiFi dead zone. I bought an extension cord to boost the signal from the router. If the extension cord works, my computer will have better Internet than with just a router. However, it happens that the repeater loses the signal with the router (it is not far from it), so it may or may not work for everyone.
