Review on Uniclife 64 GPH Dual Outlet Aquarium Air Pump: Adjustable, Quiet Oxygen Aerator for 10-60 Gallon Fish Tanks & Hydroponics by Autumn Harris

Good for our needs but may not be for everyone

Good value for money. We use it to start two betta/shrimp sponge filter aquariums. The first socket is excellent, but the second is not enough for the weak. It works great when fully loaded, but then it's too much for a betta on the tank with the first one. We've managed to sidestep that given setting, but it's not for everyone. We have 2-5 gallon betta tanks, 2-10 gallon betta tanks and 10 gallon shrimp tanks. Our shrimp have a lot of babies so we use two small sponge filters for the feed and the second outlet on this unit is connected to one for the cigarette lighter outlet. We have a single pump that connects to the first pump on the left in our shrimp tank. We take it halfway up, and the first outlet feeds a sponge filter in one of the ten gallon betta tanks on the right. Sometimes it's still too much for him as he had fin rot last year and it never grew back, but overall he seems happy. Works well enough for us with the $10 we paid and it would be nice to run some filters. or rocks in a large tank, or one in a large tank and one in a smaller tank. We've had it for about a year now and it's still working. It's a bit noisy, but we keep it on a soft cloth on the table to muffle the noise. We also keep them in our bedroom so they don't stand out so much in the common area. It says it's rated for 100-150 gallons, but I find it hard to believe. In our setup, the outflow will probably be perfect for 20 gallons and 10 gallons at the max setting, which we'll likely upgrade soon.

Pros
  • Bio-Sponge Filter: Catches dirt and debris to keep your aquarium crystal clear and creates tiny bubbles to aerate the aquarium water. A great way to revive aquatic life and keep it healthy.
Cons
  • Almost never
