Cool for bubbles but sees no filtering benefits

I thought they should replace the filter but they just seem to blow bubbles. I'm not sure how they filter the dirt. You are tiny. Sponge about 1 1/2 inches high. I showed a video in an 8" tall bookshelf tank for size reference. It seems to have captured some dirt, but definitely not enough.

Pros
  • Adjustable Airflow: Equipped with a rotary knob to control the amount of air for the two outlets, allowing the desired airflow to fully oxygenate the aquarium.
Cons
  • Not bad

Sponge Debris Filter

I thought it would be a great deal but unfortunately sponge filters are rubbish. Save yourself the hassle and buy a cheaper air pump and separate foam filters that are really clean. I've been using this for two months and every time I press the filter to clean nothing comes out but clear water mind you I have guppies and plecos so that must have done something! I ended up abandoning the pump and buying some fluffier and nicer sponge filters.

Pros
  • Pump Accessories: Includes 2 sponge filters, 6.5" air hose, 2 check valves and 2 fittings. Complete accessories to create a basic aeration system in your aquarium.
Cons
  • A few little things

Good for our needs but may not be for everyone

Good value for money. We use it to start two betta/shrimp sponge filter aquariums. The first socket is excellent, but the second is not enough for the weak. It works great when fully loaded, but then it's too much for a betta on the tank with the first one. We've managed to sidestep that given setting, but it's not for everyone. We have 2-5 gallon betta tanks, 2-10 gallon betta tanks and 10 gallon shrimp tanks. Our shrimp have a lot of babies so we use two small sponge filters for the feed and…

Pros
  • Bio-Sponge Filter: Catches dirt and debris to keep your aquarium crystal clear and creates tiny bubbles to aerate the aquarium water. A great way to revive aquatic life and keep it healthy.
Cons
  • Almost never
