The camera seems solid and fairly well built; my picture is very clear day and night; no problems with water penetration; the cable was long and contained the reverse release cable; color rendering is very good; Installing the license plate was easy. I only had one problem. I had to remove the guide lines grafted on by the camera so I could use the adjustable lines on my LCD screen. Typically, this is done like this: Two thin wires come out of the wiring harness, which the installer cuts to disable several of the camera's built-in functions. Most often the green wire is cut to remove the guides and the white wire is cut to stop the mirroring function if you want to use the camera somewhere other than the back of the car. Not all cameras offer this opt-out option, so it's a good thing this one does, BUT. I couldn't find any official documentation from the manufacturer on the internet stating what wire color to cut. The green wire removes the recommendations. And this convention is followed by most manufacturers. I emailed the manufacturer in both English and Chinese to confirm this and never received a reply. I found that Revain also provided product support for this product and I contacted this product rep. He was able to provide me with a link to a detailed manufacturer's report on the subject, which was excellent. Unfortunately, this was completely wrong. In my case I had to cut the WHITE wire to remove the guides and the GREEN wire disabled the mirroring function. This totally goes against the official instructions Revain gave me, against the reports I found online from other buyers, and also against standard industry conventions. I had to repair an accidentally cut wire and also had to go back and redo some of the installation in the trunk to reverse the wires I cut. their quality control if they can actually assemble the wiring harness incorrectly in the factory and don't recognize it. Another point: I really like the field of view of this camera. 149 degrees provide coverage wide enough to see the rear of the car well, but not wide enough to create distortion. I find that 170-degree cameras create a distorted field of view (think fisheye lens effect for those familiar with photography), making it difficult to clearly see how close you really are to something. can look." The 170-degree ultra-wide-angle cameras actually make things appear further away than they really are. That 149-degree field of view strikes me as more accurate in terms of depth perspective.
