This was used to replace the crappy plastic that came with a 2017 Toyota RAV4. The first time I changed the oil, the filter actually cracked, most likely due to over tightening by the dealer's free oil change service, and cost me $50 to replace. With my back against the wall I had no choice but to buy it from the dealer because I needed to get the car back on the road. Searching for Revain I found and bought this one and it's a noticeable improvement. For some reason, Toyota puts them on their cars in Japan, but American cars get the plastic version. This is the only way out if you operate the car for a long time, especially if you change the oil yourself.
