The last TV mount I had wasn't fully articulated and I didn't think it would matter much until I installed it. This mount is definitely fully articulated, extending to nearly 20 inches and swiveling +/- 90 degrees *and* has +2/-12 degrees of angle adjustment. The full motion capabilities are very useful, especially in a large room where people are sitting in different places from time to time. It's also useful in my bedroom as I like being able to move it flush with the wall (my TV sticks out about 2 inches) which saves space when I'm not watching. The bracket is made of steel and is very strong; I have no doubt that it can hold a TV that weighs up to 77 pounds. It requires two people to install, but I'm grateful that this mount didn't require different size power strips and a socket wrench like the previous mount I bought. This kit requires only a Phillips screwdriver and includes extension cords to attach to a compatible TV if required. I recommend a wood stud mount, or you'll need to purchase compatible drywall mounting hardware if needed. Highly recommended and worth the price.
