I would give this one star but I don't rule out making a small mistake and installing it wrong. I bought this to replace a broken/worn out Tiagra that was on my old Specialized Allez Sport. Not a newbie to bike maintenance, I followed the factory instructions for the T. After installing it, I tested it and it worked perfectly. The next day, when I made my first long drive with the system installed, I drove about 300 meters, shifted into a higher gear and the entire transmission locked up. When I looked into the cause, the derailleur was badly bent, the chain was twisted and snapped. As I said, I can't rule out an installation error, but if I installed it incorrectly, it's because the instructions tell me.
