Review on 🧪 Hanna Instruments Salinity Tester HI98319: Accurate Salinity Measurement Made Easy by Jake Pavelko

I never normally give 1 star - usually I just don't check something I don't like because it's usually subjective. However, I feel this strongly enough to actually give it a bad rating. Out of the box I followed the instructions to calibrate using the included calibration liquid (35 ppt) but when I measured the salinity in my tank it showed 15 ppt below what I thought my tank was (my fish were still healthy). ). I calibrated it again with another bundled package and got the same results. I measured the salinity of the supplied calibration liquid with my refractometer and found it to be well below 35 ppt. I thought ok maybe my calibration fluid for my refractometer is bad but then my refractometer matched 2 local shops. I tried calibrating Hanna with my refractometer calibration fluid (also 35 ppt) but then the reading was 10 ppt below my refractometer. and has 2 buttons) but I will return it unless it's wrong.
