I was hesitant to try Crank Brothers since I used Shimano, but I just didn't like the look of Shimano's hybrid version of the pedal and was looking for a smoother pedal. After careful research I decided to try the Double Shot 3 and I have to say I LOVE them and found the perfect pedal for me. It took me a while to get used to the clipping compared to the Shimano m324 I had but I learned very quickly and I love how they feel; my first day like they were made for me and my bike. I tried the flat side when I was in a city with lots of lights and my feet wouldn't slip off the pedal. I almost bought a Shimano t8000 but again I was attracted by the looks. The Double Shot 3 almost looks like a full shoe without cleats, but gives you an advantage when riding with cleats or in street shoes.
