You gotta hit him with a club

I make vinyl figures and also create my own sculpts with Super Sculpey. It sticks to the vinyl and allows me to change very effectively. Sculpey can be baked at 1/4" speed for 20 minutes to set. at 275Β°F. It is not best to bake a solid sculpture in the oven as this will take several hours and you risk missing the master excessive heat to crack and possibly shatter. For the original figures, I build a sketch model out of wire and aluminum foil and refine it until it is the masterpiece of my vision. Then apply a 1/8" thick coat of Sculpey to small sheets (use Using a roller and knife), sculpt shapes and add additional 1/8" thick sheets for intended detailing. It's like creating an aluminum skeleton, and the sculpture is the flesh that covers it. Then 20 minutes in the convection oven and BAM! Mister is ready. Some may say that when you first bought Super Sculpey, it's brittle and stale and will crumble in your hands. Well I'm here to tell you IT IS NORMAL & nd Sculpi stays for life. It's like Bazooka Joe chewing gum that gets brittle but after you chew it softens. Same here but you have to hit it with a hammer to activate the chemicals and then the pieces will soften and come back together. It also stays soft until you bake it. I give him 5 stars. Here's a visual demonstration of how crumbly sculpey turns into soft polymer clay after a good wipe.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember
