I bought these for my two cats who love exploring my urban area. I have a raised rear deck overlooking a large shared driveway behind townhouses on a full block and so far they seem to be sticking to that area. I only release them when I don't need to leave the house or go to bed for a few hours so I have time to find them if they don't come back. The list of distances is long, but I was able to find them by walking in a direction until the beep speeded up or slowed down, changing direction as needed. The tag is small and light and doesn't bother her at all. I don't think I'll need the flash unless they lose their collar so I'll probably disable it.
