I've been using this bit in my router for almost a week now. It's a beast! I use it on thick wood which is very hard and chips easily. I also cut out a lot of curves. The resulting cuts are very smooth (no sanding required if you don't want to) with no chipping. Yes, it's a very expensive part, but I needed reliable and accurate cuts for a very large project I'm working on (I consider it a family heirloom). You have to decide if your project warrants such an investment, but for me it's worth it. I confess I was very hesitant to use it. I run it at 16000 rpm and it works very well for me. I called Whiteside and they recommended 14,000 to 16,000. Delivered on time, well packaged.
