Long sleeve sun shirts are very popular with riders these days. Living in an area with high humidity and temperatures, I was skeptical that I could wear long sleeves in the sun for hours without experiencing major discomfort. However, the moisture-wicking material and ventilated sleeves have a cooling effect. Plus, since your skin is protected from the sun, you won't get as hot or worry about getting sunburned! In summer I wear this shirt all day and feel just as comfortable in it as in a cotton t-shirt. I bought the shirt in Aster Blue and am very happy with it. The color is bright but not flashy, and the style is professional and modern. Unlike other brands, Horze offers shirts in darker colors, which is a great practical option when shopping for a shirt for everyday riding. Most of the sun shirts I've seen have only been in light or white colors that show every little imperfection. With the darker colors Horze has to offer, you don't have to worry about that. What I really love about this product is the price. Most shirts in this style from popular brands start at $75! I am building my riding wardrobe on a budget and Horze was the only brand that would allow me to afford some sun shirts for riding. This Horze shirt is neither light nor as soft as more expensive brands; However, it's great quality and style for the price. I found the size to be a little smaller than expected, maybe about half a size. I bought a size 6 and would like the fit to be comparable to the size Small in Kastel or EIS sunshirts.
