Great modem device

I've only had it a few days but I'm really enjoying it so far. I use it with a prepaid SIM from T-Mobile and a pfSense router. It's connected to an outdoor MIMO antenna that covers T-Mobile Band 71 (many of these antennas currently sold by Revain don't down-tune to 600MHz, so check before you buy). The only problem I have is that IPv6 is disabled by default. This can be changed simply by editing the APN settings. I also wish the included USB-C power cable was longer, but at least it could be…

I love this little lucky charm!

WE HAVE THE INTERNET! We've lived in the country for a little over a year and figured HughesNet was our only option. We saw this on Tik Tok and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did, it's awesome! Now we can watch FaceTime and Netflix! Setup was pretty easy, you need a computer with an ethernet port (I bought an adapter from Revain). I went to Walmart and got a SIM card pack and everything was ready! This little slice of joy saved us from crappy satellite internet!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • unreliable

Who supports the LM1200? IMEI not compatible with ATT & ATT resellers

Although I had a solution for our crappy expensive satellite internet. We have a good ATT signal here in the country. However, the NETGEAR LM1200 is NOT compatible with Consumer Cellular (ATT), Cricket, Straight Talk, or ATT. WHAT IS GOOD? Only Verizon supports IME devices. Manufacturers must specify at least part of the imei in the description so that compatibility can be checked. And the industry needs to bring their ACTs together. Operators are required to maintain a list of compatible…

This WILL work on Verizon - read how

I'm using this on a Verizon LTE network and am getting 20-60MB download and 4-5MB download -Speed and about 25 MB download on average. So. I went to the Verizon store and got a "companion sim card" for my unlimited plan on my phone. The companion SIM ($20/month) is for things like a tablet and can be configured as an unlimited line with a "hotspot" limit of 15 or 30 Gbps of high-speed LTE data. I get three bands of LTE signal outdoors, but use a Yagi antenna and signal booster to get five…

WILL NOT WORK WITH VERIZON

So I got it. Set it up with Verizon Prepaid using the IMEI that was meant for the hotspot. A few months later I noticed problems so severe that I replaced all other parts of my network and then restored them. I finally realized that when I had the device in bridge mode, Verizon kept dropping the connection. I put it in router mode and it worked for a while. I've noticed that there are websites that I can access and some that I can't. I finally looked into the account and found that Verizon…

Works great with T-Mobile

I really wanted to use this with Cricket because I have an LB1120 that is on their network. Apparently the IMEI I have was outdated at the moment and will not work in 2022. This device's IMEI and Netgear LAX20 are not working on Cricket at the time of writing this article. If the description says ATT and T-Mobile. As it should say. ATT and T-Mobile POST PAID plans. I tried using T-Mobile's prepaid plan and everyone I spoke to said it wouldn't work. I'm trying to save those who are trying to do…

It works with Verizon

Finally a 4G LTE broadband modem that works with Verizon. Don't think that you just take the SIM card out of your phone and you're done. . No, it didn't work for me. I don't have map upload speed from a Verizon phone. I ended up going to Verizon and buying a 100GB/month sim card for $90/month in a separate account. You can get a cheaper plan IF you add it to your existing plan. But in my case I would have to change the plan on all my existing phones and drop my old unlimited plan. I'm by no…

Works with T-Mobile. The user manual is not available anywhere.

The device came and worked relatively quickly at T-Mobile. You will most likely need to make minor changes to your user settings. However, there is no user manual on the Netgear website! Just a quick guide. This turns device setup into a guessing game. I finally found an owner's manual for the older model LB1120 that has answers to a few questions. I configured a device connected to a managed router. However, it is the same as connecting to your wireless router's WAN port. With 4 out of 5 bars…
