This modem claims to work with Comcast/Xfinity, although you'll need to contact support to get it working. A known problem with the modem is that the latest firmware loaded on it isn't supported by Comcast, so it reboots every 30 seconds until you ask Comcast to do something to fix it on their end. So far, so good! The modem has a large, well-ventilated case that seems to eliminate the need for a fan. While other reviews mention heat issues, downloading large files and streaming a few HDTVs at the same time hardly heats up the top of this unit. In terms of performance, I have Spectrum's Up to 100Mbps service. . Speed tests consistently show download speeds of 115 Mbps and upload speeds of 11.3 Mbps. I don't know how "raw" the speed is compared to the upgraded MODEM, but I'm happy with it.
