$50 for 40 days of service is unreasonable.

The modem looked great with its Docsis 3.0, Intel chipset and xfinity approved branding. My setup is an Xfinity connection at the lowest speed setting, an air omnidirectional router, and this cable modem. A month later (less than a week ago) my internet went down and I was pretty sure xfinity was the culprit because my hardware was made to order and by Amazon. the problem was my brand new linksys cm3008. Unfortunately, my property has exceeded Revain's 30 day return window by 9 days. It looks…

Know what you're getting

This modem claims to work with Comcast/Xfinity, although you'll need to contact support to get it working. A known problem with the modem is that the latest firmware loaded on it isn't supported by Comcast, so it reboots every 30 seconds until you ask Comcast to do something to fix it on their end. It's cheap and works well, but be aware that it may not come out of the box. Edit: Downgraded from 3 to 1 star. Do not buy this device if you have Comcast as your ISP. Every time this device reboots…

Increases Internet Speed

I ordered this product for faster Internet access on my home network. I used to have an average modem from a reputable company paired with a very powerful router, but I was extremely disappointed with the WiFi speed. Especially since I bought a faster internet package from my ISP. So I switched to this modem. He did very well. Internet speed is significantly higher. For example, the startup lag of a YouTube video is almost zero, while it used to take a few seconds to load/cache. However, this…

So great! MODEM has a large

So far, so good! The modem has a large, well-ventilated case that seems to eliminate the need for a fan. While other reviews mention heat issues, downloading large files and streaming a few HDTVs at the same time hardly heats up the top of this unit. In terms of performance, I have Spectrum's Up to 100Mbps service. . Speed tests consistently show download speeds of 115 Mbps and upload speeds of 11.3 Mbps. I don't know how "raw" the speed is compared to the upgraded MODEM, but I'm happy with it.

  • Everything is fine!

(Older) Linksys CM100 and (newer) Linksys CM3008

Great little cable modem for the price. I had an old Linksys CM100 DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem that was good for its time but needed replacing. I have Comcast that keeps telling me to upgrade my cable modem, but I haven't heard from them in a long time. Did some internet speed tests and got 34-35 on DL and 8 on UL on CM100. Now the CM3008 comes in, plug this bad boy in, which is very simple, and call Comcast to tell them the new MAC address for the new modem. After half an hour with a technician…

Plug and Play / BETTER THAN RENTAL

I plugged it in and then connected to a Linksys AC1750 Dual Band Router. clicked on my network tag and logged in. Easy to set my network name and password. automatically updated quickly (10 seconds), after that I was ready to use. My internet is set to 400 Mbit/s. (Megabits (Mbps), not Megabytes (MB/s)) I ran a speed test with both wireless and wired connections and both download speeds exceeded 300 Mbps and upload speeds exceeded 100 Mbps. For those of you who don't understand the information…

Great little modem.

Excellent modem. I bought the device in February 2017 and it has been working stably since I installed it. It does exactly what I've come to expect from the Comcast Xfinity network. A few months ago, Comcast increased download speeds from 75 Mbps to 150 Mbps at no additional cost to its customers. This modem is rated for 100 Mbps clients, but after restarting the modem I get consistent download speeds of between 175-180 Mbps. I streamed up to 4 sporting events on 4 different TVs with no…

Severe Intel Puma 6 chip latency issue - Rating 3.5

My old DOCSIS 2.0 (1x1) Motorola SB5101U had a download speed of 17Mbps and an upload speed of 1.75Mbps /s on my current/new HS internet account with 100 megabits/s D/L and 5 megabits/s U/L dedicated channels (24 x 4). So I thought about upgrading with Linksys CM3024 DOCSIS 3.0 (24 x 8). The first digit indicates the download channels (24) and the second digit (8) indicates the download channels. The higher the number, the better. If you look at the pictures, you can see that the Linksys CM3024
