My teenager peeled an apple and almost cut off the tip of his finger. In retaliation, I threw the damn knife away and bought this one from Revain. Some may call it extreme, I call it justice. Can you trust a kitchen tool that has tasted blood? I do not think so ! Yes, I know I'm acting stupid, but come on. I couldn't look at any other knife. I am very happy that I bought this scrub. This vacuum works and is very fast. I'm giving 5 stars but would like to point out that I was delayed in testing the product because the razor blade that was used to insert it was upside down. I just didn't have the hand/finger strength for it so I called my husband to fix it when he woke up. Simple solution for him. This thing literally took about 10 seconds to peel a medium Granny Smith apple. The kid and I had fun playing with the apple peel ribbon. I'm confident that the child's fingers/hands will be safe with this peeler, allowing the child to go back to eating multiple apples a day (their favorite snack) with less effort than with a regular vegetable peeler! I'd also like to mention that the peeler's tines that hold the apple aren't dangerously sharp so you don't have to worry about banging your hand or anything, but they do hold the apple in place very securely.
