Watercolor Frisquette Miskit Liquid

Liquid Frisket Charpak Grumbacher Miskit is essential for watercolor artists. It is applied to areas of the watercolor paper that need to remain ink-free. After the base washes have been applied and even the details have been drawn, the frisket is removed with a soft eraser, your fingers or any other material that will not damage the watercolors next to the frisket. You can then either leave the protected areas "paper white" or apply light glazes or glazes to the painting that will highlight the paper areas and leave the edges of the protected area sharply defined. This product is only suitable for watercolor or non-acrylic paint. Do not attempt to use a frisket to protect areas on a surface that is to be painted with oil or acrylic paints. Acrylic paints are polymers (Liquitex, Grumbacher, Golden or Winsor Newton). These colors bond at the molecular level and will not rub off the frisket. (I've tried multiple mediums with no success other than watercolor.)

Pros
  • Use this bright orange frisquette to mask areas that need painting after removing the dried frisquette.

This keeps ripping my paper! I am using the soft eraser, but the paper still comes up with it :-(
