Excellent masking fluid

I'm a map maker and I use this masking fluid when coloring with alcohol markers. Unlike other white or clear concealer liquids, this product's orange tint lets you see exactly where you've applied it. I use a special brush to apply it. I wipe the inside of the lid and the rim of the jar with a baby wipe before sealing the jar tightly, have had it for a few months now and it's still very runny. You only need a little to cover the stamped image, so it should last a while.

Left a light peachy shadow wherever it was applied

I used Friskit to mask the image where I didn't want my watercolor to hit. I removed Friskit immediately after the watercolor dried. Everywhere I applied Friskit was a light peachy shadow. I'm not the best watercolor painter so I was very disappointed that I did my best to learn how to paint with watercolors so that Friskit could put color where I didn't want it in the first place. I hope you see a slight shadow around the circle left by Friskit. I masked it so there was no color.

Works perfectly! Best Accessories for Drawing, Painting and Art

I just used it for the first time. I used an old brush to apply it and it was pretty easy. The orange color helps you see it better on the side, but you really have to look at it from the side to see the shiny areas. I let it dry for 24 hours. During the drying time I painted the rest of the page with watercolor mixed with some white gouache. Once dry I used a rubber spatula to remove the miskit. Very easily removed. Where I applied it thicker the border was now more defined and where I applied

Not for new people or large spaces

I've been playing around with blue pencil masking fluid. Because I like using stencils with them to practice my watercolors, I went through them very, very quickly and wanted to try some brush fluids. I'm giving this three stars because I believe it will work for others. things just not for me. Based on some of the images shown, I can say that it actually looks like it would be extremely useful for splashes, fine lines, and other similar effects. In comparison, I tried to stencil a mandala with

Warning: Color will reappear on exposure to light

DO NOT USE IF YOUR PAINTINGS WILL BE EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT. I used Miskit because I made precise shapes with watercolors. I always made sure to remove the frisket within 24 hours because I didn't want the orange color to smudge my paper. Everything went well, the edges of my watercolors were clean and the friskets were easy to remove. BUT in the last 6-7 months when the paintings were exposed to the light the orange dye reappeared. They are not exposed to direct sunlight - the light is filteredโ€ฆ

  • For use on fixed size watercolor paper, photos and other media

Watercolor Frisquette Miskit Liquid

Liquid Frisket Charpak Grumbacher Miskit is essential for watercolor artists. It is applied to areas of the watercolor paper that need to remain ink-free. After the base washes have been applied and even the details have been drawn, the frisket is removed with a soft eraser, your fingers or any other material that will not damage the watercolors next to the frisket. You can then either leave the protected areas "paper white" or apply light glazes or glazes to the painting that will highlightโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Use this bright orange frisquette to mask areas that need painting after removing the dried frisquette.
Cons
  • Price

Works well but practice first

There is an art to removing a fringe chain. It seems to stick to some papers more than others, pulling the paper up. I've had good results with a slight wiggling motion with a clean, kneaded eraser. Shake well, it takes time to distribute the orange tint. Don't forget to delete them in time. I found some old designs and they were glued firmly to the watercolor paper. Make sure the paper has dried naturally before removing the meatballs. I tried drying the paint quickly with a hair dryer, whichโ€ฆ
