Headset Memory Feature Stupidest Thing I've Ever Experienced

It's not possible to always use the default headset when making and receiving calls. What's even more silly is that the headset button blinks when it actually remembers I'm in headset mode, but when I look down I just think there's a message. How incredibly stupid.
