Review on Johnson Level & Tool 40-0912 Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser Level, Red, 6 x 7 Inches by Jamal Sandridge

I'm glad to have found an inexpensive cross laser - with tripod and hard case. I'm a hobbyist so I give 5 stars. I did not get the impression that this device would perform well on the job site or with regular use in harsh environments. It's great for me because I put shelves and cabinets on walls that don't touch. and even with the long traditional leveler it was almost impossible to level things satisfactorily. LASER LEVEL - excellent. Seems very accurate and hangs on shutdown. TRIPOD - good. It's not very tall (50 inches?) but they sell extensions OR you can just put the three legs on buckets or blocks (they level themselves so they don't have to be the same height). The thread pattern is NOT the standard 1/4-20 thread used on camera tripods - it is a commercial type (5/8?). COVER - excellent. That was a big advantage for me. I prefer to keep my tools in hard cases for protection and storage. points - good. The included glasses actually help you see the laser when it's too bright, but without them it's clearly visible inside.
