Suitable for small lids
This is for small lids. The overall length of 72mm is 2.82 inches or approximately 2-7/8 inches. Note, however, that the two screw holes are 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" from the base to the top mounting holes. This worked great for my need to keep the plastic toolbox closed (I used two). They look well built, but I wouldn't call them "heavy duty". The spring-loaded latch opens the latch as soon as you lift the lever, which is a nice improvement over the old latches. The pack is designed for eight of these fasteners but I only needed two so now I have six extra on hand and need to find more uses. .
