Review on 🐶 Gooby Perfect Fit X Harness: Choke-Free Step-In Solution for Small Dogs with Soft Synthetic Lambskin Strap by Christina Reynolds

We have just adopted a dog rescued from the meat trade in China. Everything is new to him as he has never known anything other than life in a slaughterhouse. We live on 30 acres on a mountain in Vermont. I walk our dogs every day so I need a harness for our new boy. I like the idea of the Gooby harness because it doesn't put any pressure on the windpipe. It took me 3 tries to get a 'fit' harness because the sizing charts in the product posts are not accurate. After only 4 rides this harness stretched so much that our dog slipped out in the middle of the woods and started running. Luckily we live in the wild, away from roads and neighbors, but I was still horrified that I wouldn't be able to catch him and he would be completely lost in the forest. He doesn't have enough running or hiking experience to figure out how to get home. This harness cannot be adjusted to a specific size. The material is stretched and the metal adjustment pieces slip out of position almost immediately. Needless to say this harness is being returned and I am getting a firmer, safer and more adjustable Ruffwear harness that I should have gotten for him. This harness is dangerous for hounds, especially those who are new to the environment.
