Not a stroke of luck as many people think, but it is MUCH better than the normal solder cup. It managed one half on the infinite Ergodox, which required removing switches, but struggled on the other half, which I used lots of solder on. Faster to use than separate tools - mount suction cup, place on joint, heat up, press button, repeat. Much quicker than using two tools and one hand and then putting down the iron to reset the suction cup. You have to remove many components that are worth considering, especially for the price.
