The heads on these are thinner than I expected so I'm a little worried about potential stripping issues. I'm more concerned that it might not be 18-8 SS. Revain's description states that they can be "slightly" magnetic. 18-8 stainless steel must contain at least 8% nickel to be non-magnetic. My understanding is that "cold working" can give it a "very weak" magnetic attraction. I have no idea if the steel for these bolts was treated that way, but I can't believe they're 18-8 - they appear to be more than "moderately" magnetic. The package they arrived in was easily picked up by a small magnet. Another picture is attached.
