Who would have thought that it would wear out after 5 years if you forcibly disconnect and reconnect it more than 3000 times a year. First time I bought this. 5 years ago (in case you haven't figured that part out yet). A few months ago the metal pin was so worn out that you could breathe on it and fall out. Plugging was like throwing a banana down the hall. So I bought another one, and funnily enough it takes more force to insert than this one. I could end up basically waving my phone. So the good news is that the pin is made of a softer material than the phone hole, so this wonderful little cheap cable sacrifices itself. Perfect length and perfect rectangular pin for my needs.
