This item has a strong magnet that will hold my knives securely. I attached this setup to the bottom of the cabinet using a couple of command bars. I've found knives with thinner blades to drift; One way to reduce this effect is to place the knife so that the handle is pressed against the side of the knife holder. My previous knife holder with two thin parallel magnets didn't have this offset effect, but it doesn't really matter. Finally, this magnet is long enough to hold 11 knives, some large, some small, without being cramped.
