If you want to use the full resolution potential of this display, you cannot use an HDMI cable. So if you're using a Macbook Pro like me, you should go with USB-C, which is ideal anyway. HOWEVER, as another reviewer noted (didn't see the review before buying), there is an issue with USB-C and Macbook: the display randomly turns off and on again. While this is annoying in itself, it messes up my currently open windows by forcing me to reposition them. VERDICT: If you are a Macbook user, DO NOT BUY THIS. * Unless you need a lower resolution with HDMI or don't mind accidentally turning off your display.
