This would be a five star product if the fitting was a 1 inch sample pipe thread. I'm not sure what hose fittings are, but after adding a filter I've had trouble with the fitting assuming it attaches the hose. I had to struggle to twist it and hope it would hold. I got lucky and it happened. What I like about the pump is 15 GPM. That's not a lie. Decent pump, just be prepared to wrestle with it a bit if you add a filter.
