Ideal for hard parking

First off, if you do anything more aggressive than hard parking outside a coffee shop on a weekend morning and arguing about who makes the best wax, then none of these cheap Revain splitters are for you. Don't complain about STRUCTURAL FAILURE if you're expecting a piece of Tinkertoy (with the metric equivalent of 8-32 bolts) to hold the front end together at 100+ mph on a racetrack. You got what you paid for. If you are, then don't be stingy. Use something from Longacre, Allstar Performance, or Fully Torqued Racing and attach it to the real structure, not the plastic plate. But hey, you don't get a pair of these for $16 like you do with these. Well, with that being said, I bought them for an entirely different purpose. I needed a cheap, adjustable instrument gauge mount in my race car. I threw away the outer aluminum tube (it's just for beauty. The real threaded steel tube is inside; a bit crappy but still), bought nylon locknuts (you should do that) and welded a hex nut in the middle of the steel hose (not needed but helps), tighten locknuts) and painted everything to avoid/delay the rust everyone mentions. It is not used for add-ons; so it should fit here. So far this is working well for my purposes, although I doubt anyone else will have the same needs. But I recommend these bars if you need a low tension adjustable clamp. I still have a spare rod; Maybe I'll find a use for another random project.
