I've tried a few others over the last few months and kept coming back to them. Even though I was connected to a 3.0 slot and the slots in the hub itself were also 3.0, I still didn't get the speed or efficiency I was expecting. However, this one works fantastic. With an external HDD and SSD plugged into it, it reads and writes just as fast as if I had it plugged in directly. SD reader integration is also great. You no longer need to unplug USB to connect a card reader separately. The design is pretty standard, nothing special. The cord is quite short, so if you want to move it to a nearer table for easier access, for example, be sure to look out for an extension cord. Otherwise it's worth it!
