I'll write my review after the season is over. I didn't see any rubber wear at the end of the season when all the spikes were in place. The run-in happened when it was warm and there wasn't any snow on the ground. travelled on a variety of metropolitan roads that were both clear of snow and ice as well as entirely coated in snow. There was nothing unfavorable about rubber. It functions well, doesn't scorch, and doesn't abruptly brake. The hum (noise) vanished when the season changed to summer, and it was barely audible when I was driving. Generally, I advise purchasing.
