Ideal lamp for group travel

I bought this product because I wanted something cheap with low power consumption that could be mounted on my seatstays. The seller clearly wanted to make sure they liked the product and included in their instructions that if there were any problems they would contact them first. This was very clever because although I'm an avid night cyclist who is very familiar with bike lights, when I first got my hands on this thing I was confused as to how to turn it on. When I read the instructions, I was simply told to press the lens, which I did, but nothing happened. I ordered two and they both did the same thing until I found out I had to press and HOLD for the light to come on. Fortunately, both work perfectly. The lamp is about what I expected. The construction is cheap and probably not very waterproof, but I expected the same for the price. So far I have only tested the lamp at my home because of the rain. All modes seem to work, although there isn't much of a difference in output between high/constant and low/constant. In fact, I couldn't tell if there was any difference at all until checking the bulbs in total darkness. When purchasing this product, don't expect something super bright that will stand out in an urban setting. On the other hand, it would be an ideal lamp for group travel. I bought this product to complement my other taillights which are much brighter. The mount is meant to be used on the seatpost, but I use it on the seat stays (one on each side) with a brighter seatpost light. I'm rating the product 4 stars instead of 5 because I doubt the lamps will stand up to heavy use in inclement weather. (Note that you have to unscrew the bulb to access the micro USB port. This is no big deal.) The product came with a partial charge and should be working right out of the box. (Edit: first ride and product seemed to work fine, no issues)
