Review on 🚗 Dorman 911-631 Vapor Canister: A Reliable Solution for Pontiac & Toyota Models by Shawn Bass

Installed in New York state last week before my inspection. I had 2 trouble codes (P0446, P0442) on my 2003 Toyota Corolla LE. Initially I thought I would need to replace the evaporative system sensors (one on the air filter and one on the charcoal filter), but that didn't solve the problem. I also replaced the gas cap with a Toyota replacement but to no avail. I replaced the canister and the check engine light has not come on since. I could pass the emissions with 130,000 miles on the car. If you have an evaporator failure, I suggest you replace the cap. If you're unlucky, replace the canister. Normal replacement for Toyota after 100,000 * No need to go to a mechanic for installation. This is an easy DIY using a screwdriver, pliers and a car ramp.
