Jury is out on this product . I use it as a second layer of media in my canister and towards the top. I know they show high absorption in a static no flow situation but I question the restriction it may create in a dynamic flow function . A round or cyldrinical design media offers better dual bio function in my view. . Their site is more sales pitch than function .
