First of all: For the price of this kit you have to live up to your expectations. I have a few individual baits and drills that cost more than this whole set. The bits I received are primarily used for cutting aluminum and plastic, but I've also cut some mild steel. Lead cuts very nice clean holes and cuts fast when sharp. The metal is not of the highest quality and when cutting steel they dull a bit quickly. I think stainless steel would be really tough on them. Because of the way they are made they are harder to sharpen than some of the other stepped bits and after a few sharpening they start to cut roughly and I consider them rubbish. The case feels cheap but mine didn't break. I've killed almost all the bits after a few years of casual use, but overall I'm satisfied.
