Our family is the BMW family. My wife and I and our kids had up to 7 BMWs at a time (not all new people we buy used due to terrible depreciation, we catch them when we return the lease), seriously, a 3 year old car at 30,000 is half the price a sticker. and these are amazing cars that if serviced will last a long time, we have had many cars with 200,000 miles before we sold them, we always service our cars at home and for years I have used a strap wrench to tighten the filter housing . It works great and all, but I finally ordered a wrench. WOW seriously IT IS MUCH easier to use it with a head and now we can use a torque wrench and know not to over tighten or over tighten the cap. A case cover isn't insanely expensive or anything, but if you pry it open and don't know it, the little oil leak going down the side of your engine will sadden you. Don't save long like me, buy a tool that can save you by being the right tool and save you from making mistakes, and is MUCH cheaper in the long run.
