Due to the extreme stress of the past year and the many deaths of family members, friends and pets (from none of them, by the way (CV19), I found it difficult to get out of a creative trough. This book is a great way to get help in this area. HOW IT HAPPENED This book comes with a beautiful cardboard folder on the cover. It has an elastic band to keep it closed and mark your spot. There are templates on the back and a welcome note on the front. DOES THAT HELP? Each page has tasks ranging from simple to abstract. You can drive as fast or as slow as you like. You can also go crazy or simple as you like. I've found that assignments really help me break out of that really tight lack of creative spark. WHO WOULDN'T LIKE THIS. most likely for you. It's up to you to explore and freely interpret the concepts. If you don't mind that freedom, this is a great book. If you really want someone to tell you what to do at every step, you probably won't enjoy it. PAPER This book is for drawing. I am not suggesting the use of a marker (especially alcohol) or other aqueous media in this book. I would suggest gluing with pencil, charcoal, markers (like gel or fine lines) and even colored pencils. You can also use colored pencils if you are careful. PHOTOSI has included some photos so you can see what the book is like. The front cover contains my finished drawings so I can show you how they inspire creativity. CONCLUSION This is an entertaining book that will break you out of a creative block. The tasks are simple, but some of them are abstract, so you can interpret them however you want. However, if you're the type of person who needs to be told how to do things, you might not like this. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. I don't intend to use aquatic environments in this book as I am considering them for drawing. My pencils, pastels, crayons, ink or even charcoal is all I use in it and it does a good job.
