Review on 🔒 Kwikset 335 Round Bed/Bath Pocket Door Lock: Secure and Stylish in Satin Nickel by Ickey Case

I knew I was taking a chance due to the low price and previous lackluster reviews but this pocket door lock - rubbish. The retractable door handle is decent in theory, but feels flimsy in use; The latch actuator also feels weak and loose. After installation, the lock looks fine, but the problem arose when I checked the lock; It is mounted in a latch that is inserted into the door jamb. The problem seems to be that this lock requires the deadbolt and door to be PERFECTLY aligned, but the nature of the pocket door is such that it has little play in either direction within its track, making achieving PERFECT alignment nearly impossible is. After playing around with this Kwikset hardware and not being able to get it to work reliably, I removed it, threw it in the trash and installed a Delaney branded lock which looks like higher quality hardware and works flawlessly.
