The dose is right if you have a short pan instead of a deep one I have a 99 ranger xlt I never normally give less than 5 products but I have confirms this Before I buy from them and they said it fits my ranger I should have done a little more research than I did myself. it does fit but there are two ford ranger filters one tubed and the other flat but both fit. in the end it all comes down to the size of the pan. Well I've already taken everything off so I made a compromise as I was technically stuck and the dealership was a few miles away so I decided to cut off the thingy looking cylinder with a saw and it works like a charm!. Was ready to send it back before I saw my saw and looked at my filter and the bulb came. Will be updated in a few months
