Review on Ultimate Comfort: Crane Digital Clean Control Warm & Cool Mist Humidifiers by Ruth Reiners

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a room - but FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY

First I have to admit I didn't fully understand Crane's instructions (an older point I think) and I have the humidifier with the Leave filter to dry for 12 hours. after one night's use. So much for discovering the hard way that the filter really needs to stay wet for the full 30 days you want and of course that the humidifier works. (No, I'm not a retired engineer. I'm just trying my best not to look like a complete idiot.) Then I decided it was time to experiment with water filtered through a drinking carafe. In short: it didn't work. The bottom line is what I would write to my college professor: If my humidifier can't handle the local water, how is my body doing? Now this human-like person drinks bottled water, but not branded water from the city water supply of some big city, but filtered, with a pseudotropical name and a blue label. (Read the fine print on the bottle, folks.) Finally (imagine a lightbulb suddenly flashing in a dark closet) I bought another Hs-3812 Crane Filter Hs-3812 Crane Germ Defense Humidifier Filter White from Life & Home (Good people but they should consider faster delivery service). I followed the directions for soaking the thing meticulously; The same goes for soaking with water from the humidifier reservoir (which I cleaned with the prescribed weak white vinegar solution in water) as well as the water inlet portion of the humidifier base. I made sure that it floats a bit so that the adjustable water level doesn't get stuck, I finally collected everything, let the water trickle through the filter and the mechanism and - that's the secret, I'm sure - I have it Leaving apartment for two hours after being sure During that time the tide was unlikely to hit.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Long delivery time
