Review on Grey Pneumatic 2042D 1/2-inch Drive 1-5/16-inch Deep Socket by Todd Stepp

I ordered 2 of these impact sockets for use at work. I'm a line manager for a pressurization company operating in the Eagleford Shale (oil field for you 9-5's). I use this socket to remove the suction manifold bolts on hydraulic fracking pumps with a DeWalt 20V or Kobalt 24V cordless impact tool. 20 screws. at a time. I ordered these sockets in April and started using them in early May. Used for maybe 50 pumps between a pair. Last week a socket burst while tightening the screw. Half of the socket is missing. Let's hope Gray Pneumatic fixes the warranty issue. It sucks when I buy tools out of my own pocket. Ordered some DeWalt sockets and some Sunex sockets tonight in hopes of extending the life. I understand that these sockets physically wear out, but breaking them is unacceptable. Decent product for the price but in my copy. I make backups.
