I originally bought the entire Milkit kit initially impressed with the product as the Flaps at the ends of which were valve stems opened in a one-way system when the injector was in place. This creates a bit of a mess when using the injector. So I decided to buy 2 more valve kits to use with my other MTB wheelsets. There is a better way to use tubeless for MTB and Gravel than this setup that I will explain at the end. Now about the cons of these valves and Milkit. These valves are designed by weight and are best for XC or Road, the threads can warp and the thin rubber end of the valve stem does not seal like no name Chinese universal stems for example. or very well designed WTB stems. These are stronger stems and improved O-ring installation at the top of the rim and an improved rubber end to contact the inside of the rim to prevent air leakage around the valve hole on the rim even when the valves are holding. Also, the "flaps" at their end can warp in the rubber with regular use of the injector, and the whole dirt-free one-way valve system, they claim, is overkill since the sealant now acts like a regular core rod. AWAY. That with a stem length of 35 or 55 mm, 35 mm is too short for all but undersized MTB aluminum rims and 55 mm is uncomfortably long for MTB carbon rims. However the injector is for single use as your sealant will clog after using Slime STR which was the worst but the thinner Orange Seal has that clogging effect to a lesser extent. So you're addicted to buying another Milkit system after the injector "needle" clogs the stopcock next to the syringe after being irreparably clogged on the second use. This becomes very expensive very quickly for an already very expensive product. What may help is flushing, rinsing, and removing the sealant from the injector with water immediately after use, rather than pouring the water down the sink, which still takes time. Much better and cheaper way to do it. Buy an inexpensive 45mm WTB rod, a PTO injector without a clogged shutoff valve, tissue paper and a good sealant. Flush the PTO injector with water every time. Lasts longer, seals better, and maybe 10 drops of "mess" if you get it right. Yes, and much cheaper both in advance and in the long run.
