Review on ASPC20 Weatherproof Amplified Speaker Deterrent by Javein Harvey

Connected to Cobra D19vx CB. I can't turn the speaker volume up more than a hair's breadth from zero. If the volume was between 1 and 10, I get no more than 0.75. Slightly higher and when you turn the mic on you get nothing but noise cancellation. I switched to a noise canceling mic and that worked, so now I can turn the volume up to 1 on the speaker. However, it seems quite noisy. I'll have to see how it sounds compared to the engine noise. I called Speco Technologies and the tech said it might be because the CB has a small amperage struggling with the speaker amp. So maybe this should only be used with an unamplified speaker system and not a CB? If it had been in the instructions I would have given it 4 stars. Has anyone solved this problem?
