Review on 🌱 BioBag Premium Compostable Food Scrap Bags: 3 Gallon, 25 Count - Eco-Friendly Solution for Proper Waste Management by Susan Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

(sometimes) garbage. in paper and plastic

I edited this review because it is obvious that the production process allows for many variations. The second box of these bags was much stronger than the first. They're still sweaty, and they're still a little fragile, but manageable. Sizes are still an issue, they are too short compared to the large ones and fall into the bins I used. They will only come in handy to me without a trash can. I leave my bag on the counter and open/close it when I use it. I try to remove the bags every day or two before they get too full to cause problems. That way I end up throwing away a lot of bags due to the amount of compost, which is doubly concerning as they are non-compostable. , listen. Below is the first rating that applies to the entire first box of bags. --- ------------These bags fail in many ways. They sweat and leak, so you still have to rinse out the trash can and wipe down anything those bags touch. Once they get wet they will go soft and you won't even be able to fill them close to the container or they will burst and splatter rotten veg casings on you and on the floor. First I packed two bags, but that didn't help, both bags got soft and fell apart. I then started using a new bag to carry the discarded one, and that's better, but this method makes these things just that little bit better than catastrophically bad, and they can still tear apart if you're not careful. The mission of a biodegradable bag imposes some limitations on the product. But most bugs are just dumb design. These bags are about as wide as they are tall, so if you place them on a countertop or hold one end in your hand trying to fill them, everything will fall out. Even if you rotate the bag to twist the top, when you lay it down the bag gets so wide instead of tall that it stretches and unwraps, spattering all over the place. I think these things will work fine if you've never filled them out. 10% capacity and if you empty the container daily. Also, 3 liters is a joke. Theoretically 3 gallons, edge to edge, wide open. If you are hanging the edges over the bin and want to seal the bag later, max 1 gallon. If you want to keep your bag wet all day without it bursting when carried, then half a gallon is way too much.
