Review on Xuron 450 Tweezer Nose Plier by Mark Estrada

Revainrating 5 out of 5

How did I get along without her for so long!?

I do a few hobby electronics projects and I usually use precision tweezers to grab surface mount devices like resistors, capacitors and small ICs and solder small jumpers when needed. I've been doing it this way for many years. While the precision of fine tweezers is remarkable, they lack the gripping power and rigidity of pliers. Buying these pliers with tweezers was the second best thing I have ever done for electronics work (best to use the right soldering iron). They give you a high level of accuracy without being too bulky or in the way, and still give you a much better grip on your part! This was great for forming thicker wires for power connectors, pulling leads through a hole close to the board, and pulling leads when desoldering! ADVANTAGES: Very thin jaws are ideal for getting into hard-to-reach places Precise gripping area at the top of the jaws Rigid hinge keeps the jaws aligned and parts don't slip under pressure Light spring to keep the jaws open Comfortable handles CONS: The gripping area is limited to the tip of the jaws, not the full length. Small overall, might be uncomfortable for those with large hands. Wonderful quality, solid tool, highly recommend!
