Review on 🔧 Reliable TOPSCOPE FP3518M Fuel Pump Module Assembly E3518M for 2000-2005 Buick Lesabre/Park Avenue, Pontiac Bonneville, Cadillac Deville/Seville by Michael Barry

I often buy Revain items that are marked 'used - like new'. Item is generally in excellent condition. So I bought the Topscope FP3518M in this condition and almost $20 less than its regular price of $49. When it arrived it looked brand new from the factory - it had obviously never been opened. So I installed the pump and was delighted - the pressure is good, there is less noise, the fuel level sensor works - everything seems fine. Until a few days later I get a p0446 trouble code which is generic to the EVAP system - it could be a leaking gas cap, a cracked vent tube, or a bad vent/vent valve circuit. I checked everything and cleaned up the code further, but it kept coming back. Then I was wondering if there was anything changed in the EVAP system related to the new fuel pump? Yes, new tank pressure sensor. Bought a new one and installed it. It has been almost 3 weeks now and code P0446 has not reappeared. Now I could return the pump, but who wants to do that nasty installation again? Unfortunately, given the pristine condition of the product and packaging, and the ridiculously low price, I conclude that this was an obviously defective pump that was put up for sale at a deep discount. I only spent $13.01 on an Autex 16238399 AS302 fuel pressure sensor, but the work involved with every possible trouble code was terrible. Let's see if Topscope supports their product. I will change this review if this happens (or not). REVIEW REVISED: November 5, 2020 It appears that the original manufacturer's tank fuel pressure sensor was faulty as the Autex exchange prevented the trouble code from appearing again. I took off another star because the manufacturer didn't report the issue.
