I use this lock for my house that has a storm door that closes the main door so the lock doesn't get stuck in the rain. The lock was installed by an experienced handyman which took about an hour without reading instructions and looking at diagrams. The lock will open for any fingerprint unless you program it. It took me 3 tries to program because I didn't change the password first. If you don't change the original password first, it won't recognize a fingerprint or key fob you wrote in after the prompts disappear when the timeout expires. Once you get used to it, it becomes clear how you can add more users, and then you can change settings and the like. I personally created 4 users for me, if one of the ways doesn't work, I won't be blocked. My daughter does gymnastics and her hands are always sweaty or chalky, so she doesn't always get the reader the first time. My suggestion for entering your fingerprint is to place it at different angles each of the three times it prompts you to cover most of your bases. I've only been using it for a day, but it seems fine. I didn't have to contact tech support, so I'm not sure what they are like (or if they exist). But so far I'm happy with them.
