I use this lock for my house that has a storm door that closes the main door so the lock doesn't get stuck in the rain. If you have a steel door, you will need a multi-tool and experience to install this lock. I had to use a carbide-tipped multi-tool to cut the stud and faceplate out of the steel. The included drill came in very handy. I could drill through a steel door and wood with no problem. The lock looks and feels very heavy (for example, it's quite heavy). The instructions need to be transcribed by a native English speaker, although I was still able to figure everything out without calling their helpdesk.
