Well the packaging seems like a good substitute.
Pump OK. Everything was well packaged, appears to be a good replacement (Chevy 1500 5.3L Shortbed 2006). Let's see how time takes its toll and if it will stand up to the original fuel pump that lasted 150,000 miles and then rusted. Definitely recommend getting a new "retaining ring". Also plan on using your own high quality electrical connectors if required. Electrical connectors are very cheap.
