This is an attractive, inexpensive fixture suitable for corridors, stairways, restrooms and similar spaces. It delivers a lot of light for its 18 watts. Buyers should be aware that this is an international product, not intended for the US market. It is operated with AC voltages from 100 to 277 V. It is not UL listed (but has a CE mark to indicate compliance with European Economic Area standards). The lamp is snapped onto a metal bracket that is intended for mounting directly on the ceiling or wall. and not in the electrical box. The slots on the metal bracket do not match the standard 2-3/4" screw spacing used in conventional US ceiling boxes. You may drill holes to install the box. You will need to provide lengths of black and white stranded wire to accommodate Provide pigtails to connect the light to the power wires in your box.(The mount is all plastic and no ground wire is needed.) The instructions for attaching the pigtails to the mount are not clear, you lift the tabs on the connector, plug carefully insert the pigtails (stripped) into the socket and then push the tabs back in. Then attach the connector cover with the small screw provided This is a great product but I gave it 4 stars because Americans have a hard time finding it to install.
